Carla van Den Heuvel

Carla van den Heuvel serves as the Head of Internationalisation at the University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam since August 2009, where responsibilities include inspiring, supporting, initiating projects, and advising on inclusive internationalisation in study programs and research. As a lecturer, Carla has contributed to various programs, including Participatory Research & Evaluation and International Social Development, and has coordinated multiple minors focused on Human Rights. Carla is also involved as a project leader for the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership 'UrbanSOS' and participates in the Local Organising Committee for the European Conference for Social Work Research 2022. Additionally, engagement in community work includes serving on the neighborhood committee 'De Punt' in Amsterdam and being a member of the Internationalisation at home Working group for U!REKA. Carla's educational background includes a Master’s in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam and a degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in Policy, Communication, and Organisation.
