Rachel Rietveld

Rachel Rietveld is an experienced legal professional and educator, currently serving as Hoofddocent HBO-rechten at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences since December 2022. Holding the position of Director and Head of Research and Development at ArbeidsmarktResearch UvA B.V. since July 2014, Rachel specializes in legal expert systems and data analysis within the Legal Tech sector. Additionally, Rachel has been a PhD Researcher at the University of Amsterdam and TU Delft since January 2019, focusing on the use of Artificial Intelligence in judicial decision-making. Active in academia and various professional roles, Rachel contributes to multiple organizations, including the Amsterdam Centre on the Legal Professions and Access to Justice, JAR Sdu, and WageIndicator Foundation. Rachel holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with specializations in labor law and health law, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Amsterdam.
