Benhang Shi

Benhang Shi, PE, SE LEED AP, is a skilled structural engineer with extensive experience in the design and analysis of various infrastructure projects. Currently employed at HOK since September 2021, Benhang has focused on evaluating the vibration performance of cross-laminated timber (CLT) in lab buildings, developing sustainability strategies, and managing junior engineers. Prior roles include structural engineering positions at C&S Companies, KATERRA, and Advanced Structural Engineering, where Benhang designed numerous hospital renovations, airport facilities, and multifamily structures. Benhang's academic background includes a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rice University, complemented by leadership roles in student organizations and significant research contributions in structural health monitoring and novel materials.
