Mark Hendel

Mark Hendel, PE, is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in structural engineering and project management, currently serving as Principal and Engineering Practice Leader at HOK since December 2012. In this role, Mark oversees a team of structural engineers within a multi-discipline design environment, managing projects ranging from new constructions to renovations throughout the project lifecycle. Previously, Mark held positions at the City University of New York as an Adjunct Professor in Civil Engineering and as a Senior Project Structural Engineer, and at Arup, where responsibilities included finite element analysis and comprehensive design processes using advanced software. Mark holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Otterbein University.
