Matt Gilliland

Matt is a partner at HolacracyOne, an econ nerd, a cooking enthusiast, and a mushroom forager. His previous experiences in working in startups and education sparked an interest in rethinking organizations, eventually leading to a passion for Holacracy as a solution for the complex challenges of self-management.

In his roles at HolacracyOne, Matt jumps in wherever energy is needed and his skills can be put to use, from making sure GlassFrog is GDPR-compliant to helping Marketing set and achieve OKRs, and everywhere in-between.

Matt holds a BA in Political Science from North Carolina State University and a JD from North Carolina Central University. He currently resides in eastern North Carolina and can usually be found with a cat on his lap and a book in his headphones.
