Kirsten Broekema

Kirsten Broekema has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Verkoopmedewerker at Albert Heijn from February 2015 to August 2020. Kirsten then went on to become the President & Fundraising Responsible at AEGEE-Groningen from September 2020 to September 2021. Following that, Kirsten worked as a Student Assessor/Advisor for the Faculty of Arts at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen from September 2021 to August 2022. Currently, they are an Online Content Manager (NL) at HolidayPirates Group starting from February 2023.

Kirsten Broekema's education history begins with their attendance at Ichthus College Dronten from 2011 to 2017, where they obtained their VWO, Atheneum degree with a focus on Nature & Health. Following this, they attended the University of Groningen from 2017 to 2022, earning their Bachelor's degree in International Relations and International Organisation. During their time at the University of Groningen, they also pursued a minor in Journalism from 2021 to 2022. In 2019, Kirsten had the opportunity to study abroad at Pusan National University, where they completed a minor in Global Studies/Korean and East Asian Studies. Building on their undergraduate education, Kirsten is currently undertaking an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree program in Euroculture from both the University of Groningen and the University of Deusto, starting in 2022 and expected to continue until 2024.
