Brian P. Akert Aia

Brian P. Akert, AIA, is an accomplished architect with over a decade of experience in the field. Currently employed at Holland Basham Architects since May 2011, Brian specializes in producing drawings, renderings, and efficiency diagrams for a variety of structures during the schematic design and design development phases. Previous roles include working as a Printing and Laser Cutter Technician at the UNL Media Center, where responsibilities involved overseeing printing operations and assisting students and faculty. Brian has also contributed as an Intern Architect at DLR Group, focusing on LEED submittals and construction administration, as well as at The Architectural Partnership, where tasks included creating construction documents and marketing materials. Additional experience includes managing job sites with College Pro Painters and maintaining campus landscaping with UNL Landscaping Services. Brian earned a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Design, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
