Christie Welch, PhD, OT Reg. (Ont.), is an accomplished professional in the fields of occupational science and occupational therapy. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine since January 2019, Christie also maintains a position as an Occupational Therapist and Lead for Early Learning and Development Programs at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, a role held since October 2003. Prior to these positions, Christie obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Toronto between 2013 and 2018, and holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Occupational Therapy from the same institution, completed in 2001. Additionally, Christie earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Child Development from the University of Guelph from 1991 to 1995.
