Mauricio Meza is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in licensing, commercialization, and assistive technology. Currently serving as a Licensing and Commercialization Professional at UHN since March 2022, Mauricio previously co-founded and held the position of CEO at Komodo OpenLab Inc., leading the development and commercialization of inclusive technologies for individuals with disabilities. Highlights of Mauricio's career include successfully launching products in 22 countries, securing government and non-government funding for assistive technology projects, and advocating for accessibility through education and presentations at international conferences. Prior to entrepreneurial endeavors, Mauricio gained experience as an Assistive Technology Consultant at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, where innovative solutions were provided to over 500 clients, and as an MBA Intern at Bombardier Aerospace, where effective customer relationship management systems were developed. Mauricio holds an MBA in Management of Technology and Innovation from Ryerson University and a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital. Our vision is to create a world of possibility for kids with disability.
