Maria Barlas

Maria Barlas is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in process development and project management, currently serving as a Senior Engineer II at Hollister Incorporated since June 2022. Notable achievements include innovating the use of Lab Pouch Machine Simulator, leading Design of Experiments for ostomy pouch projects, and significantly improving tooling request turnaround times. Previously, Maria held positions at Signode and Shamrock International, contributing to various mechanical and design engineering projects, and has experience in CAD modeling and engineering change processes. Maria holds a Master of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University, along with extensive internship experience in manufacturing engineering. Additionally, Maria is a member of the Hollister Incorporated 2024 Six Sigma Green Belt Cohort and was recognized as a National Fastener Distributors Association scholarship recipient.
