Mike Younie

Mike Younie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. In 2003, they began working for the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association as a Senior Manager. Mike then joined the Geneva Park District in 2013 as the Director of Facilities, where they stayed until 2016. Most recently, Mike has been employed by Hollywood Casino Aurora, starting in 2017 as a Surveillance Agent. Mike then progressed through multiple roles within the company, including Risk Manager, Facilities Manager, and Security Manager. As of October 2021, they hold the position of Director of Property Operations at Hollywood Casino Aurora.

Mike Younie attended the University of Northern Iowa from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, they attended Iowa Central Community College. In addition to their degree, Mike obtained a certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from NCTRC in June 2005.
