Joshua Jacobsen, CSP, SMS has a diverse work experience in various industries. Joshua started their career in 2005 as the Director of Risk Management at Architectural Wall Systems, LLC, where they developed strategic planning and systems to improve project workflow and labor costs. Joshua then served as the Vice President of Operations at the same company, assisting in project management and customer negotiations.

In 2011, Joshua established their own business, Forte Studios, where they served as the Manager and CEO. Joshua developed the business plan and strategy, constructed real estate, and managed daily operations.

Starting in 2014, Joshua joined Holmes Murphy & Associates as a Construction Loss Control Consultant, utilizing their expertise in risk and safety management. Joshua progressed through various roles, including Senior Loss Control Consultant, Team Lead, and currently serves as the AVP, Risk & Safety Team Leader.

Alongside their professional endeavors, Joshua has also been actively involved in the American Society of Safety Engineers. Joshua served in multiple leadership roles, including Hawkeye Chapter President and Vice President, contributing to the development and growth of the organization.

Additionally, Joshua served as the Event Director at Forte Studios Events, a non-profit company aimed at providing opportunities for bands and musicians to thrive in Iowa.

Through their extensive work experience, Joshua has demonstrated strong leadership, risk management, and safety consulting skills across different industries.

Joshua Jacobsen, CSP, SMS completed their education at Iowa State University from 1999 to 2005, where they earned a degree in Industrial Technology with a focus on Occupational Safety. Before attending university, they graduated from Benton Community Senior High School in 1999 with a diploma.

In addition to their educational background, Joshua Jacobsen has obtained various certifications to further enhance their professional qualifications. Joshua received the CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in October 2018 and the ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification from the same institution in August 2018. In 2017, they obtained the Property and Casualty License from the Iowa Insurance Division and the SMS certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in June. These certifications demonstrate their expertise and commitment to safety and insurance practices.
