Jon Frankel is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware engineering and capital equipment development. Currently serving as Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Holo, Inc. since August 2021, Jon leads a multidisciplinary team focused on designing commercial grade metal additive manufacturing equipment utilizing proprietary SLA technology. Prior to this role, Jon held the position of Director of Engineering at Applied Materials from 2013 to August 2021, where oversight of an interdisciplinary team involved in semiconductor equipment development was key. Jon's career also includes significant contributions as a Member of Technical Staff at Alta Devices, managing high-volume automated manufacturing equipment for solar production, and as a Mechanical Engineer at Applied Materials, progressing from junior engineer to engineering manager over a span of several years. Jon holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Dartmouth College.
