Derek Renouf has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Derek started their career in 1994 as a Developer Team Leader at MLC Computer, where they worked on client-server policy-based software development. Derek then joined Class Technology in 1994 as an Executive Director, specializing in Object-Oriented consulting, mentoring, and training. In 1995, they worked as a Consultant Trainer at Footprint Software, developing tailored training courses and performance reviews for consultants.
Derek's career continued to progress as they became a Trainer at Object Consulting Pty. Ltd. in 1996, running training courses in Object-Oriented Analysis & Design. Derek then became the Chairman at Software Engineering Australia (NSW) in 1998.
In 1993, Derek founded Adaptive Arts and served as the Executive Director until 2002. During this time, they designed and developed various software tools, including Simply Objects Modeling tools and SOfx Java framework. Derek also worked on Intellectual Property Rights Management software.
Derek joined RTA in 2010 as a Modeler Tool Architect, where they designed workflow integration and ported ITIL models to be hosted in Holocentric Modeler. In 2002, they joined Holocentric as the Director R&D and later became the CTO.
Most recently, Derek Renouf joined Centro ASSIST in 2018 as the CTO. Currently, they serve as an Advisory Board Member, Technology at Cache since 2021.
Derek Renouf obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Business Information Technology from UNSW in the years 1989 to 1993. Derek also attended Chatswood Primary and Turramurra High, although specific years and degrees were not provided. Derek Renouf is an alumnus of the UNSW Co-op Program.
