Karsten E. Olesen

Council Member at Holstebro Kommune

Karsten E. Olesen was educated as a primary school teacher at Nr. Nissum Seminarium and Skovlunde Day and Evening Seminar in Copenhagen. The last part of the training was taken in the capital because it was here that Anne studied to be a veterinarian. After graduating, Karsten worked for a few years at Jyllinge School in Zealand. In 2008, they bought the country estate in a scenic area of ​​Sevel, where the family now lives. Karsten works as a part-time teacher at Vinderup School, which has approx. 300 students from 0.-6. class. Next door, he runs a 2-hectare recreational farm with cattle of one of the world's smallest beef breeds, Dexter, originally from Ireland. The livestock also includes two horses, a dog, and two cats.

Karsten is a Member of Holstebro City Council since the beginning of 2022 for the Conservative People's Party. In the City Council, he is a member of the Nature, Environment and Climate Committee and the Business and Tourism Committee.
