Darren Ramsey

Darren Ramsey has over 25 years of experience in various technology roles. Darren currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Holston Medical Group. In this position, they provide leadership and direction for enterprise architectures, focusing on technology alignment with business objectives and cybersecurity.

Darren also holds the position of CTO & CISO at OnePartner, a technology and healthcare transformation company affiliated with Holston Medical Group. At OnePartner, they specialize in providing consulting and data solution services, including value-based contracting and operations.

Before joining Holston Medical Group and OnePartner, Darren worked at Cisco as a Select Pre-Sales Engineer, where they showcased Cisco products and solutions to customers, focusing on healthcare accounts in the greater Nashville area.

Earlier in their career, Darren held various technology roles at Wellmont Health System, where they served as the Director of Technology/Chief Architect and Senior Network Engineer/Team Leader. During their time at Wellmont, they provided strategic leadership for technology solutions, network design, troubleshooting, and managing networking staff.

Prior to Wellmont, Darren worked as a Network Engineer at Excel Polymers and BCTI, and in computer services at East Tennessee State University. Darren also served as a Team Supervisor at Sears Telecatalog.

Darren holds an MBA degree as well as certifications as a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Darren Ramsey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from East Tennessee State University. Darren also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Tusculum University.

In terms of certifications, Darren Ramsey is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) obtained from (ISC)² in October 2021. Darren also obtained the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in January 2019.

Darren Ramsey holds several certifications from Cisco, including the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Routing and Switching (CCIE-RS #18814) obtained in September 2007, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) obtained in April 2003, Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) obtained in March 2003, Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) obtained in October 2002, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) obtained in October 2002. Additionally, they hold the NetScreen Certified Security Associate (NCSA) certification obtained from Netscreen Technologies in March 2002.

Other certifications include the Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) obtained from Microsoft in October 1998, CheckPoint Certified Security Engineer (CCSE) obtained from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in May 1998, and Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) obtained from Novell in June 1994.
