J. Scott Thomson

J. Scott Thomson's work experience includes serving as the President of Holtec Security International since 2022. Prior to that, they held roles as the Senior Vice President/Chief Governance Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Holtec International from 2019 to 2022. J. Scott also worked for the U.S. Department of Justice as a Constitutional Policing Subject Matter Expert and as a member of the Bureau of Justice Assistance Law Enforcement Forecasting Group from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, they were a founding member of the Harvard Law Enforcement Executive Leadership Group at the Harvard Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. J. Scott served as an advisor at The American Law Institute and was on the board of the Policing Project at NYU Law School. J. Scott Thomson also had leadership positions at the Police Executive Research Forum and the Camden County Police Department, where they were the Chief of Police. J. Scott was an Executive Fellow at the Police Foundation and chaired the National Firearms Committee at the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

J. Scott Thomson earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Rutgers University - Camden in 1994. J. Scott later pursued a Masters of Arts degree in Education, with a focus on Educational Leadership and Administration, General, from Seton Hall University, which they completed in 2002.
