Kevin Hickey

Kevin Hickey, P.E. is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as the Civil/Mechanical Lead and Design Engineer at Holtec International since August 2019, focusing on Small Modular Reactor program systems involving mechanical, structural, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics. Previously, Kevin held the position of Executive Officer at the US European Command Joint Operation Center from June 2018 to June 2020, managing real-time operations and communications among national and international military command structures. As Corporate Project Manager at Nekoosa from June 2018 to August 2019, Kevin oversaw multiple plant operations and managed a significant capital expense budget for operational efficiency. Prior military experience includes serving as Division Officer aboard the USS Missouri SSN 780 from May 2013 to May 2018, where Kevin was certified as a Nuclear Engineer Officer after completing rigorous nuclear training at Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC. Kevin holds a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering with a focus on Engineering Management from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
