Douglas Jones has an extensive background in religious leadership and community service, serving as Chaplain for the Fairfax County Police Department since 2006 and as Senior Pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church since 2002. Prior roles include Pastor at Epiphany Lutheran Church from 1997 to 2002, and Director of Resource Development for the March of Dimes from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, Douglas Jones was Executive Director for both the Maryland Interfaith Legislative Committee and the Lutheran Ministry with the Developmentally Disabled during the late 1990s. Educational credentials include a Master of Divinity in Theological Ethics from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Classical Greek from the University of Maryland.
