Home Base
M. Luiza Welton, LICSW, SEP, is a seasoned Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker currently affiliated with Home Base, a program of the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital, since July 2018. Prior experience includes serving as a Social Worker in Victim Services at Bellevue Hospital Center from April 2014 to October 2017 and volunteering as an instructor at the International Academy of Consciousness from January 2006 to December 2014. M. Luiza Welton has also completed internships in various settings, including the inpatient HIV service at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital and counseling at Middle School 22 - Power Academy. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from CUNY Hunter College.

Home Base is a national nonprofit dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for Veterans of all eras, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen through world-class, direct clinical care, wellness, education and research – all at no cost to them – regardless of era of service, discharge status or geographical location. The program was founded by Massachusetts General Hospital and the Boston Red Sox.
