Fergus Mangan is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in lending and portfolio management. Currently serving as Head of Lending and Divisional Manager at Home Building Finance Ireland since January 2019, Fergus has previously held significant roles at NAMA as Team Leader and Senior Manager for Residential Delivery, and at AIB as Manager of Enterprise Lending Services, overseeing a team in debt restructuring. Additional experience includes managing a portfolio of distressed borrowers in Ulster Bank's Global Restructuring Group and in various capacities within property finance and corporate banking. Fergus holds a Master’s in Business Studies with a focus on International Business from University College Dublin - Smurfit Graduate Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics from University College Dublin.

HBFI is a private company formed under the Companies Act 2014 and the Home Building Finance Ireland Act 2018. HBFI is wholly owned by the Minister for Finance and has been established for the purpose of funding the construction of new homes in Ireland. It is a commercial entity, providing finance at market rates for commercially viable residential developments.
