Ed Zimborski is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the lumber and recycling industries. After retiring in February 2022, Ed continued to contribute as an Inside Sales Representative and Store Manager at Home Lumber Company since April 2016. Previous roles include General Manager at Granite Valley Forest Products from February 2014 to April 2016, Operations Manager at Universal Recycling Technologies, LLC from January 2010 to February 2014, and Plant Manager at Universal Forest Products from August 2003 to May 2009. Earlier in the career, Ed served as Plant Manager at Quality Wood Treating from February 1989 to August 2003, overseeing production, inventory control, and safety training initiatives. Ed's expertise encompasses budget management, production scheduling, purchasing of production materials, sales calls, and safety training programs.

Home Lumber Company is the 2010 Wisconsin Family Business of the Year! The Hale family and their business is steeped in tradition for choosing to make a difference in their community and also with their customers. Their family run lumberyard will celebrate 126 years in business in 2011. They hold a long history and have a lot at stake in Whitewater's downtown. The company is run today by Geoff Hale with the help of his father Don, wife Jacki, and brother Jack. Geoff's three boys Chris, Mike, and Mac are all active on a day to day basis with the company. Over a three day process, everyone in the company took part in the creation of our mission statement which above our front entry and reads: "Home Lumber strives to deliver quality products and courteous services which exceed your expectations. We endeavor to provide a progressive, profitable, and enjoyable environment for everyone. Ask those we serve."
