At Home Lumber Company since April 2019, Roland specializes in sales and millwork, focusing on team building and customer satisfaction. Previously at Nestlé Purina North America from December 2014 to March 2019, Roland served as a Production Team Leader, emphasizing coaching and performance management in production processes. As a Community Transformation Coordinator for e3 Partners / I Am Second from August 2010 to December 2014, Roland facilitated community development by coaching and connecting resources. Roland's early career included a decade as Maintenance Operations Manager at Mission Aviation Fellowship, where leadership was provided to a multi-ethnic workforce in aviation maintenance. Roland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology from Moody Bible Institute.

Home Lumber Company is the 2010 Wisconsin Family Business of the Year! The Hale family and their business is steeped in tradition for choosing to make a difference in their community and also with their customers. Their family run lumberyard will celebrate 126 years in business in 2011. They hold a long history and have a lot at stake in Whitewater's downtown. The company is run today by Geoff Hale with the help of his father Don, wife Jacki, and brother Jack. Geoff's three boys Chris, Mike, and Mac are all active on a day to day basis with the company. Over a three day process, everyone in the company took part in the creation of our mission statement which above our front entry and reads: "Home Lumber strives to deliver quality products and courteous services which exceed your expectations. We endeavor to provide a progressive, profitable, and enjoyable environment for everyone. Ask those we serve."
