Maria Meave

Maria Meave has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Maria began their career as a Merchandise Stocking Associate at A Pea in the Pod in 2000, where they assisted a culturally diverse clientele, managed inventory, and developed promotional displays.

In 2000, Maria also worked as a Veterinary Technician at Amazon Animal Hospital, where they greeted clients, managed laboratory documentation, and maintained communication with other departments. Maria held this position for 11 years.

From 2012 to 2015, Maria worked as a Veterinary Technician at Plaza Blvd Pet Hospital, serving a diverse group of customers and responding to their needs. Maria also upgraded and translated informational animal healthcare documents.

In 2017, Maria had a brief stint as a Human Resources Intern at Burritos Santana Mexican Restaurant, where they assisted in the development of company policies and ensured compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

Also in 2017, Maria worked as a Safety and Occupational Health Organizer at Plaza Blvd Pet Hospital. In this role, they conducted an assessment of the veterinary practice's compliance with OSHA regulations, developed safety and health plans, and conducted training sessions for employees.

Most recently, Maria has been working at Home Start Inc. since 2018. Maria started as an Administrative/Program Coordinator and is currently an Accounting Coordinator. No end date is provided for their current role.

Maria Meave obtained their Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Southwestern Community College District from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they enrolled at San Diego State University and earned their Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management from 2015 to 2017. In 2016, they attended the University of Macau, focusing on Human Resources Management and Services. Maria also holds additional certifications, including a Certificate of Keyboarding Speed from San Diego Community College District obtained in April 2018 and a Customer Service Specialist certification from Sweetwater Union High School District obtained in June 2012.
