Abarna Meecham

Abarna Meecham (née Maheswaran) has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Abarna currently holds the position of Head of Group Finance at HMC Capital since September 2021, and they are also the Head of Finance for HomeCo Daily Needs REIT since July 2023. Prior to this, Abarna worked at GSA - Global Student Accommodation as the Head of Fund Control from June 2020 to April 2021, and as a Fund Controller for the UK & Ireland region from April 2019 to June 2020. Before joining GSA, they were employed at SCA Property Group, where they served as a Financial Controller from February 2018 to March 2019, a Finance Manager from May 2016 to February 2018, and a Property Management Accountant from June 2015 to April 2016. Abarna began their career at Deloitte Australia as an Experienced Analyst from July 2012 to June 2015. Abarna also worked as an Accounting Tutor at UNSW from March 2011 to June 2015.

Abarna Meecham (née Maheswaran) completed their high school education at Hurlstone Agricultural High School from 2003 to 2008. Abarna then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance at UNSW from 2009 to 2012. Following that, they attended Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand from 2013 to 2015 to further their studies in Accounting.
