Qualities I value in my colleagues
After enduring the recent pandemic, we should all be able to take a step back and identity how valuable the quiet doers are in our companies. The lack of office politics really let the stable and compliant steady trains in our companies shine on a dashboard. I love working with the shy overlooked doers.
My communication style
Many mistake me for being arrogant. My introvert personality with my stature makes me look that way, but I’m exactly opposite! The recession of ‘08 popped my bubble and forced me to become assertive to survive. I spend and lot of time getting to know others; people are given my time. My only out-of-the-median driver is altruism. It is my gift and curse as a business owner, so I surround myself with realists and calculators.. analysts. I prefer to the point, organized communicators but I love everyone and their infinitely unique selves, and I mean that. I am gifted at identifying anyone’s strengths quickly and fitting them into a very productive role. I have had a rough upbringing in a rough area, so I can see people without judging eyes.
My pet peeves
We all have our faults, but I do not have patience for ignorance and disrespect toward the differences in each other. For example, education entitlement, sexism, racism, heterosexism, gender binarism, political bullying, and reputation terrorism are traits I will not be quick to forgive.
Fun fact
I have Mormon ancestors! Mormons pioneered to Utah because mobs forced them to flee. Mobs murdered many Mormons because they were anti-slavery, and Missouri was a swing state before the Civil War.
