Day Space & Activities Specialist at HomePlate Youth Services

Josilyn Meza is currently a Day Space & Activities Specialist at HomePlate Youth Services. Previously, they worked as a Carson City Summer Youth Worker with the City of Carson and as a Note Taker for Seattle University's Disability Services. Josilyn also served on Seattle University's Residence Hall Association while they were a student there.

Josilyn is passionate about working with youth and providing them with the support they need to succeed. In their current role, they plan and implements activities for the youth residents at HomePlate. Josilyn also helps maintain records and supervises the residents to ensure their safety.

Prior to working at HomePlate, Josilyn supported students with disabilities by taking notes during lectures and uploading them to an online portal. Josilyn also worked with the Disability Services office to ensure that all students had the support they needed. During their time at Seattle University, they also served on the Residence Hall Association, where they helped plan events and activities for the university's residence halls.

Josilyn Meza has a Bachelor's degree in B.S. Criminal Justice with a specialization in Forensic Psychology and B.A. Psychology from Seattle University.
