Mireya Baltazar

Drop-In Worker at HomePlate Youth Services

Mireya was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. After struggling with an addiction to heroin and meth for over a decade, she got clean in June of 2019 and never looked back. Since that time, she has earned her CRM through the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon and has spent the last year and a half working in social services. She is a fierce advocate for harm reduction and believes in a housing-first approach to ending homelessness.
