✅ Mårten Nilsson

Mårten Nilsson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. ✅ Mårten is currently working as the Head of Data at HomeQ since August 2022.

Prior to their current role, Mårten worked at Hemnet from 2012 to 2022. ✅ Mårten held multiple roles during this period, including Business Intelligence Manager, Team Lead, Data Engineer, and System Developer. As the Business Intelligence Manager, they were responsible for strategic work with Hemnet's data team, setting goals, and working with data architecture. As a Team Lead, Mårten managed a team of five and was involved in sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups. ✅ Mårten also initiated a project to store, clean, and make data accessible for developers and business people within Hemnet. As a Data Engineer, Mårten focused on insights, data, and infrastructure, playing a central role in product development. In their earlier role as a System Developer, they worked on general back-end tasks with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Elastic Search, and Postgres.

Before joining Hemnet, Mårten worked at MyNewsdesk as a System Developer from 2008 to 2012. In this role, they focused on web development with a backend focus, implementing payment backend, and optimizing the system for higher load.

Prior to that, Mårten worked at Stockholm University from 2004 to 2008, where they served as a System Developer and Programmer. Their projects mainly focused on web development in Java and Ruby, with an emphasis on open-source education systems.

Mårten's early work experience includes serving as an Assistant Contract Manager at Servando Law AB from 2003 to 2004 and as a Project Manager at Bonnierförlagen Nya Medier from 1999 to 2001. As a Project Manager at Bonnierförlagen Nya Medier, they managed the development and production of CD-ROM encyclopedias and the online encyclopedia Bonner Lexicon Online.
