Jason Schmit

Jason Schmit is an experienced professional in community development and business growth, currently serving as the Director of Business Development at HomeServices of Nebraska since September 2017. Prior experience includes roles such as State Associate Director for UnitedHealth Group's Nebraska myConnections program, Community Development Manager at Aetna, and Outreach Event Coordinator for Coventry Health Care. Earlier in their career, Jason founded and directed the Academy of Rock, earning the 2011 Mayor’s Arts Award, and held various leadership positions at the YMCA in Lincoln and Portland. Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has furthered education at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
