Joe Murray

Joe Murray has extensive work experience in the finance and accounting field. Joe is currently working as the Vice President of Finance at HomeStory since May 2020. Prior to that, they held the same position at Vast (Acquired by Vroom) from May 2020 to January 2021.

Before their current roles, Joe was the VP of Finance/Controller at CasperLabs from February 2019 to May 2020. Joe'sresponsibilities included overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Prior to CasperLabs, Joe worked as an Audit Supervisor/Manager at Withum from May 2017 to November 2018. Joe managed audit engagements and had expertise in audits for the technology industry, specifically in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies.

Joe's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Assurance Associate at Smith & Howard from October 2014 to May 2017, an Audit Staff at Porter Keadle Moore from December 2013 to October 2014, and an Audit Intern at both Porter Keadle Moore and Smith & Howard in 2013 and 2012 respectively.

Joe has also worked as a Graduate Assistant at Georgia Southern University from August 2012 to December 2013, where they supported professors, graded papers, proctored exams, taught lessons, and conducted research. Joe also worked as an Accounting Tutor at Georgia Southern University from November 2010 to December 2011, where they assisted undergraduate students with accounting questions and helped grade tests.

Joe Murray obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Parker College of Business-Georgia Southern University, which they attended from 2008 to 2012. Joe then pursued further education and completed their M.Acc in Accounting at Georgia Southern University, from 2012 to 2013. In November 2014, Joe Murray obtained their certification as a Certified Public Accountant from NASBA.
