Darrell Van Amen has a diverse work experience in the financial services industry. Darrell began their career at Community Bank in 1991 as an Analyst before moving to a similar role at Old Kent Financial. At Old Kent Financial, they served as the Vice President Asset Liability Manager, responsible for managing interest rate risk, administering funds transfer pricing, and managing liquidity risk.
In 2001, Darrell joined RBC Centura as a Quantitative Analytics Manager. In this role, they implemented risk management systems, including a mortgage services hedge. Darrell also oversaw treasury, asset/liability, forecasting and budgeting, mortgage servicing rights, and mortgage pipeline risk measurement.
Since 2003, Darrell has been working at HomeStreet Bank, where they currently hold the position of Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer. Darrell has been instrumental in developing and leading profitability and investment processes. Their expertise in business acquisitions, strategic planning, performance measurement, and pricing and risk models has added value to the company. Darrell is known for their well-organized, analytical, and resourceful leadership style.
Darrell Van Amen attended the Drucker School of Management from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a MA degree in Economics.
