Prior experience includes teaching 5th grade math at Creekview Intermediate School, serving as a high school counselor at Connections Academy, and holding positions at Mount Vernon Nazarene University as the Director of PAC Student Communications and Campus Tour Guide. Charissa has a background in customer service from roles at Winans Chocolates + Coffees and as a lifeguard with the City of Piqua. Charissa launched Charissa's Cupcakes during high school, gaining invaluable experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and networking. Charissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, completed in May 2020, and is a graduate of Piqua High School.
