Diego Onate

Diego Onate is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in the mortgage industry and a strong academic background in economics. Currently serving as a Loan Officer Team Leader at Homeward since June 2021, Diego has previously held various positions at Rocket Mortgage, including President's Club Banker, where expertise was centered around purchase and refinance transactions for both English and Spanish speaking clients, as well as in-depth knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA home loan programs. Earlier roles include operations analysis at Diners Club International, conducting economic research as a teaching assistant at Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and financial analysis during an internship at ACCIVAL Casa de Valores S.A. Diego holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Universidad San Francisco de Quito and participated in a study abroad program at Kalamazoo College.
