Dan Katz began their career in 2010 as a Legislative Intern for Huw Irranca-Davies, MP for Ogmore (Wales). In this role, they led research efforts for Energy and Climate Change legislation. In 2012, they became Chief Research Assistant to David Gergen at Harvard Kennedy School. In 2014, they were appointed Chief of Staff to Arianna Huffington at HuffPost. In 2016, they joined Thrive Global as a founding team member and Head of Business Development. In this role, they developed and executed growth strategy, leading strategic partnerships, B2B sales, corporate development, and venture-backed fundraising. Thrive Global was backed by Kleiner Perkins, IVP, Lerer Hippeau, and JAZZ. In 2021, Dan joined Google as Global Business Development. Currently, they are the Head of Corporate Development at Homeward, a technology-enabled healthcare provider delivering quality care to those who don’t have it, starting in rural America. Homeward is backed by General Catalyst, Arch Ventures, and Human Capital.
Dan Katz attended Beaver Country Day School, Inc. for high school. Dan then attended Brandeis University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a BA in Political Science and Economics. In 2010 and 2011, they were a Hansard Scholar at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), studying Political Science and Economics. Dan is currently enrolled at Harvard Business School, where they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
