Carmen Pop-Tiron has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles within the events and hospitality industry. Carmen most recently worked as a Project Operations Manager at Homewings since September 2020. Prior to that, they were the Head of Events at Benugo from November 2019 to August 2020. Carmen also held the position of Parties and Social Events Manager at the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) from April 2016 to August 2020. Carmen worked as the LFF Hospitality Manager at the British Film Institute (BFI) from August 2018 to November 2019 and again from June 2019 to November 2019. Carmen also served as the Guest and Hospitality Manager at Electric Castle from June 2017 to August 2019. Additionally, they worked as an Event Manager at Backyard Cinema from October 2015 to January 2019 and as a Guest Liaison at Electric Castle from June 2014 to July 2016. Carmen started their career at Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) in May 2010, where they held various roles including Box Office Coordinator and Venue Manager until June 2015. Carmen also worked as an Assistant Manager at LARGE BARS LIMITED from September 2014 to May 2015 and as a Supervisor at Grand Union Paddington from November 2011 to August 2012. Throughout their work experience, Carmen has gained skills in project management, operations, event planning, hospitality management, and customer service.
Carmen Pop-Tiron completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Hispanic Studies at Queen Mary University of London from 2010 to 2014. As part of their studies, they also spent a year abroad at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2012 to 2013, where they focused on Hispanic and Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. Prior to their time at Queen Mary University, Carmen attended Babeș-Bolyai University from 2008 to 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Comparative Literature.
