Carlos Lalonde has a diverse work experience in the field of psychiatry and academia. Carlos is currently working as an Associate Professor at McMaster University since 2023. Carlos also holds the position of President at Homewood Health Centre, where they have been a Psychiatrist since 2010. Additionally, they served as the Medical Director of the Trillium Acute Care Program at the Homewood Health Centre from 2012 to 2017. Carlos Lalonde completed their Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2001. Carlos then pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree from McMaster University, graduating in 2005. From 2005 to 2010, Carlos Lalonde completed a Psychiatry Residency Program at McMaster University. Carlos obtained various certifications throughout their career, including becoming a member of the Canadian Society of Physician Leaders in 2021, a physician of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia in 2020, a member of the International Society of Sports Psychiatrists in 2019, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2010. In 2005, they became a licensed physician of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
