Chris O'Neill

Chris O'Neill has extensive work experience in the electric cooperative industry, particularly with HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative. From 2001 to 2018, they held various roles including Safety Coordinator & AMI, Dispatcher and Engineering Support, and Customer Service Representative. In 2018, they joined HomeWorks Connect as the Fiber OSP Manager. Since 2020, they have been serving as President/CEO of HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative.

Chris O'Neill has a diverse education history. In 2006, they attended the Wisconsin School of Business, where they obtained a professional certification in Occupational Safety & Loss Control. From 2010 to 2014, they pursued an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and General Studies at Lansing Community College. Following this, they attended Davenport University from 2015 to 2017, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Management. Most recently, in 2018 and 2019, Chris obtained multiple certifications including CFOT, CFOS/T, and CFOS/O from the Fiber Optic Association, which are US Department of Labor certifications.

Some history: HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative has brought electric service to mid-Michigan since 1937. More recently, we have provided propane and high speed satellite internet services to our area. Today, we're in the midst of building a fiber network to create the utility of the future and make high-speed internet access available to all of our members. Our reputation for reliability and outstanding customer service is based on 81 years of employees committed to building a safe, reliable, customer-friendly utility. Our customer satisfaction scores reflect that, as we perform at the top of our industry in regular surveys. And as a part-owner of Wolverine Power Cooperative, we are one of Michigan’s renewable energy leaders.
