Arnab Bhattacharya

Arnab Bhattacharya is the Center Director at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) under the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) since July 2021. With a long-standing commitment to science communication, Arnab serves as the Chair for Science Popularization and Public Outreach at TIFR, where efforts focus on engaging school and college students, including founding the "Chai and Why?" science cafe series in Mumbai. Previous experience includes roles as a Scientist at the Ferdinand Braun Institut fuer Hoechstfrequenztechnik and a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Educational qualifications encompass a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.Tech. in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, complemented by a Chevening Fellowship for Science and Innovation Leadership from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
