Harita Raval is currently a CIVIS PhD Student representative at the Council of Centrala doktorandrådet at Stockholm University, where the focus is on enhancing cooperation in education and research across the European Civic University Alliance. As a Doctoral student, Harita explores the role of professional noticing in pre-service teacher education within a practice-based teacher education program in Sweden and India. Additionally, Harita serves as Chair of the PhD Student Council, fostering a supportive environment for fellow PhD colleagues. With experience as a Scientific Assistant at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, a Teaching Assistant at Shakti School, and a TGT in mathematics at K.V. School, Harita has a strong background in education. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Theoretical Mathematics from The M.S. University of Baroda and ongoing pursuit of a Doctor of Education at Stockholm University, slated for completion in 2025.

Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai. The broad goals of the Centre are to promote equity and excellence in science and mathematics education from primary school to undergraduate college level, and encourage the growth of scientific literacy in the country. Activities : To these ends it carries out a wide spectrum of inter-related activities, which may be viewed under three broad categories: Research and Development Teacher Education and Science Popularisation Olympiads, NIUS and other Students' Nurture Programmes. HBCSE is the premier institution in the country for research and development in science, technology and mathematics education. It is India's nodal centre for Olympiad programmes in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy and junior science. Graduate School HBCSE (TIFR) runs a Graduate School in Science Education. Students admitted to HBCSE Graduate School work towards the Ph.D. degree of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) which is a Deemed University.
