Amer Abughaida

Amer Abughaida is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and development, particularly in automotive and engineering domains. Currently serving as the Research and Development Team Manager at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc., Amer established a marine autonomous initiative and leads a team focused on advanced control systems. Previous roles include Co-Founder of StickyMark, LLC, where a wall-hanging assist tool was developed and marketed through ACE Hardware; Program Manager at GenZe by Mahindra, overseeing the development of electric mopeds; and Research Engineer at Honda R&D Americas, Inc., working on connected vehicle technologies. Additional experience includes founding Pelico, working as a Control Strategist and Algorithm Development Engineer at General Motors, and co-founding Elite Engineering Laboratory. Amer holds an MBA in Data Analytics and market analysis from the University of Michigan and two engineering degrees, including a Master’s in Global Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering.
