Kiyotaka Kawashima

Kiyotaka Kawashima, Ph.D, currently serves as the Department Head for Energy & EV Charging Solutions at American Honda Motor Company, Inc., overseeing various charging and energy business initiatives and R&D projects. Prior to this role, Kiyotaka was a Principal Engineer and Group Lead at Honda R&D Americas, LLC, where the focus was on leading data science efforts and enterprise big data analysis. Kiyotaka's career also includes experience at Qualcomm Japan as a Staff Engineer, where project management for vehicle wireless charging systems took place, and as an Electrical Engineer at Honda R&D Co., Ltd., delivering the Fit EV model under stringent deadlines. Kiyotaka holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Tokyo and has also been a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.
