Rick Chen is an accomplished designer with extensive experience in the automotive and transportation design fields. Currently serving as a Transportation Design and Visual Communication Teacher at ArtCenter College of Design since May 2024, Rick previously held significant roles including Senior Principal Designer and Manager at American Honda Motor Company, and Design Director at NIO's Shanghai Studio. Rick's career also includes leadership positions at Pininfarina, BYTON, and Guangzhou Automobile Group, where expertise in exterior design was utilized. Earlier experiences involve impactful contributions as a Senior Exterior Designer and Project Leader for Acura at American Honda, along with an internship at Toyota Motor Corporation.
