Zahir Ally has extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Zahir started their career at Jeppesen in 2004, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining complex systems. At Snowy Hydro Limited, Zahir worked as a Software Engineer Team Lead, managing a team and leading projects such as migrating the company's IT infrastructure to Amazon Web Services. Zahir then joined IR as a Software Engineer Team Lead before moving to Alinta Energy as a Systems Delivery Manager. Zahir's most recent role is at Honey Insurance, where they serve as a Software Architect.
Zahir Ally completed their Bachelor's degree in IT at The University of Queensland from 2001 to 2003. Zahir then pursued a Master's degree in Software Engineering at the same university from 2004 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Zahir earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2019.
