Benjamin Piening, MBA, CPCU, CRM, CIC, ASLI, AU has over 18 years of experience in the insurance industry. Benjamin began their career in 2003 as an Associate Accountant with Flynn and Company, Co. In 2004, they joined Ohio Casualty Group as an Underwriter Trainee, then an Associate Underwriter and Account Representative before becoming a Commercial Lines Marketing Representative. In 2007, they were hired as a Territory Manager by Indiana Insurance. In 2008, they joined Great American Insurance as a Territory Supervisor, Specialty Human Services, Midwest Territory. In 2012, they began working with Seneca Insurance Company, first as a Specialty Package, Midwest Region, then as Vice President, Midwest Region, and finally as Custom Property, Midwest Region, where they added E&S Property Division responsibilities in 2018. In 2021, they were appointed Chief Underwriting Officer of Honeycomb Insurance.
Benjamin Piening has a comprehensive educational background. Benjamin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Cincinnati in 2003, majoring in Finance and Marketing. Prior to that, they attended the College of Business Administration and obtained a Bachelors in Business Administration and Finance and Marketing. Benjamin also attended Archbishop Moeller High School from 1994 to 1998. In 2005, they earned an MBA from Xavier University - Williams College of Business. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including CRM from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research in 2015, CPCU from The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters in 2012, CIC from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research in 2009, and AU from the Insurance Institute of America in 2006.
