Ramesh Balakrishnan has worked in a variety of roles throughout their career. Ramesh began as a Software Engineering Intern at Oracle in 2001, then moved on to become a Software Engineer Intern at 4thpass in 2002. That same year, they also took on a role as a Teaching Assistant in the Computer Science department at Stanford University. In 2003, Ramesh became a Software Engineer Intern at Amazon, followed by a Staff Software Engineer role at Google in 2005. Ramesh then returned to Amazon in 2004 for a second Software Engineer Intern role. From 2011 to 2017, Ramesh was a Director of Engineering and Head of Photos at Dropbox. Most recently, in 2019, they became a Co-founder of Honeycomb Labs.
Ramesh Balakrishnan began their educational journey at Delhi Public School - R. K. Puram, where they completed their high school degree from 1995 to 1999. Ramesh then attended Stanford University and earned their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from 1999 to 2003. Ramesh continued their studies at Stanford University and received their Master of Science in Computer Science in 2005.
