Mary Jinglewski has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mary currently works at Honeycomb.io as an Instructional Designer / Technical Writer. Previously, they were employed at Chef Software as a Technical Content Developer, where they collaborated with engineering project teams and stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality documentation for enterprise software products.
Prior to that, Mary worked at Equinox Open Library Initiative as a Product and Implementation Trainer, providing training to clients on front-end modules and custom topics in Evergreen ILS. Mary also customized configurations based on clients' needs and resolved technical issues. Mary also held the role of Training Services Librarian at the same company, training over 670 individuals on different front-end modules and contributing to the creation and improvement of training materials.
Before joining Equinox Open Library Initiative, Mary worked at BC Libraries Cooperative, first as a Project Librarian, where they coordinated the National Network of Equitable Library Service (NNELS) project and developed alternative format collections. Mary then served as a Field Librarian, installing and documenting replacement network routers and providing support and training to libraries on behalf of NNELS.
Mary's earlier experiences include working at Sauder School of Business at UBC as an Alumni Magnet Clerk, where they provided database development and data verification for the Sauder Global Alumni Network (SGAN) initiative. Mary also acted as a liaison to SGAN vendor and UBC IT. Additionally, they worked at UBC Museum of Anthropology as a Graduate Academic Assistant and Student Librarian, where they provided reference and technical services and processed rare books and special collections items.
Lastly, Mary worked at The University of British Columbia as a Graduate Research Assistant, collaborating on the development of a search engine to index and search Government Canada webpages.
Mary Jinglewski attended Cottey College from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree. From 2009 to 2011, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and Business at Berry College. Finally, from 2011 to 2013, they attended The University of British Columbia, earning their Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) degree with a specialization in Library and Information Studies.
