Obafemi Otudeko has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and industries. Obafemi started their career as a Senior Associate at PwC Nigeria in 1998 and worked there until 2003. In 2003, they joined Honeywell Group Limited as a Senior Manager, Projects (Oil & Gas), where they led the company's entry into the upstream exploration and production sector of the oil and gas industry. Obafemi played a crucial role in strategy formulation, business development, and managing relationships with key stakeholders. In 2007, Otudeko became an Executive Director at Honeywell Group Limited and held this position until 2020 when they were promoted to Managing Director. Additionally, they have held Non Executive Director roles in companies such as Anchorage Leisures Limited, Honeywell Flour Mills Plc, FirstBank Nigeria, and Airtel. Otudeko also served as the Vice President and Council Member of the Nigerian Gas Association from 2013 to 2015. Overall, their experience showcases their leadership skills and expertise in various industries.
Obafemi Otudeko has a strong educational background in both business and accounting. In 1994, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The University of Huddersfield, where they studied from 1994 to 1997.
To further enhance their knowledge and skills, they pursued additional education and certifications. In 2005, they attended the London Business School for The Corporate Finance Program, where they completed the program within the same year. Later on, in 2016 and 2017, Otudeko enrolled in INSEAD and successfully completed the LEAP: Leadership Excellence through Awareness and Practice program.
In terms of certifications, Otudeko became a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in July 2019. Additionally, in June 2006, they achieved the status of Associate at the same institution. These certifications indicate their expertise and professional recognition in the field of accounting.
