Mats Haaland

Mats Haaland is an experienced educator currently serving as the EAL Coordinator and Secondary School EAL Teacher at the Hong Kong Academy since August 2022. Prior to this role, Mats was the Director of EAL at Nansha College Preparatory Academy from August 2015 to July 2022, where additional titles included EAL Coordinator/Instructional Coach and EAL Teacher. Mats also completed a teaching internship as an English Teacher at Zespół Szkół Nr 10 Zabrze in early 2015 and worked as a Language Assistant at Liceo Scientifico Ettore Majorana between October 2013 and May 2014. Mats holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey, a Master of Arts in TESOL from the School for International Training, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Italian from Susquehanna University.
