Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research

The Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research is the first and the largest clinical trials center in the private sector in Hong Kong. It was established in 2007. More than 30 projects have been completed in collaboration with leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. FDA and EMA audits generated excellent compliance reports. Unique expertise includes: large patient database, tested recruitment methods, patient retention models, regular GCP training, robust quality assurance and standard operating procedures. The areas of research include musculoskeletal diseases, ophthalmology, oncology, rheumatology and others. The center director Dr Edith Lau (MD (CUHK), MBBS (HK), FRCP (Lond), FFPHM (UK), MSc (Epidemiology)(Lond), MFCM (UK), FHKCCM, FHKAM (Community Medicine)) is a world expert in osteoporosis, bone diseases and aging research.
